Bio

Zoe Burdett was born and raised in the shadows of the Shoals area surrounded by world renowned recording studios, such as F.A.M.E. Studios and Muscle Shoals Sound. At the mere age of three, Zoe’s great grandmother, Gracie, discovered her love for singing and entertaining. You would often find Zoe performing for family and friends in the privacy of her great grandmother’s living room. Her passion for singing continued throughout the years. Zoe often involved herself in show choir and musical theater, however it wasn't until she turned sixteen that she discovered her deep love for songwriting. This led her to  enrolling in guitar lessons with Muscle Shoals recording artist and mentor, Barry Billings, at Counts Brothers Music. It wasn’t long after taking guitar lessons that she began playing venues throughout the Shoals. The Shake Down Kings front man, Maxwell Russell, and beloved entertainer Kerry Gilbert, graciously offered Zoe her first opportunity to grace the stage. It wasn’t until October 2011 that she played her first solo show at Swampers Bar & Grille in hometown Florence, AL. After graduating high school, Zoe took a break from performing and pursued a different path. She attended the Tennessee Career Institute in Columbia, TN, and graduated as a licensed aesthetician in the spring of 2014. For the next four years, she practiced aesthetics in Huntsville, AL, while music remained somewhat of a hobby. In 2017, she had the chance to cut her first EP titled "Ghost Stories" at the Grammy Award winning studio, The Nutthouse. Producer Cody Simmons and musicians Will McFarlane (former guitarist for Bonnie Raitt), Justin Holder (Drum & Drummer), and Jamie McFarlane (Fathers & Sons). This event led her to relocate back to her roots, the Shoals. In 2018, she accepted a sales associate position at Counts Brothers Music while still continuing a solo career in her free time. After the COVID pandemic of 2020, she was able to better focus her efforts throughout north Alabama and south Tennessee. However, it wasn’t until 2021 and 2022 that she decided to tour the Alabama and Florida coast during the summer months. Her love for the community and the coastal lifestyle prompted her to leave her stomping grounds for the redneck riviera. In March 2023, Zoe settled down in beautiful Orange Beach, Alabama where she regularly performs. Since moving, she has continued to create a name for herself along the Gulf and Emerald Coast. With a full tour schedule and the release of her brand new single “Truckin”, Summer 2023 is lining up to be one of the biggest seasons for Zoe thus far.   The single, which was recorded at Dauphin Street Sound in Mobile, AL, is expected to release in early June 2023
